Fitted wardrobes and carpentry in Cricklewood
Bespoke fitted wardrobes, fitted furniture and made-to-measure joinery in Cricklewood and NW2.
The houses in Cricklewood
Cricklewood is largely Edwardian and 1930s terraces and semis, with newer flats along the Broadway.
Edwardian terraces have the classic narrow box room over the hall. It is too small for a free-standing wardrobe and a chest of drawers both, and a built-in run is what makes it a usable bedroom rather than a study.
That is the point of building rather than buying. A wardrobe made for the room goes to the ceiling, into the alcove and up to the skirting, and the awkward bits of the house become storage instead of dead air.

Built for the room, not bought for it
Every job starts the same way: someone comes out, measures the room as it really is, and prices the work. Walls are never quite straight and floors are never quite level, so the parts are made to suit what is actually there and scribed in on site.
That is the difference between a wardrobe that fits Cricklewood and one that fits a catalogue.

I cannot praise Max the owner of Barraclough Carpentry enough.
Max’s work is of the highest quality. His courteous manner, skill, expertise and professionalism was very impressive.
Clear communication throughout the works and was very punctual on arrival times and cleared and tidied up each day before leaving.
If anyone requires carpentry works to be undertaken, look no further, Max is your man.
Cricklewood questions
Do you cover all of Cricklewood?
Yes, the whole of NW2 and the streets around it. Travel is included in the price, so there is no mileage charge wherever in the area you are.
Do the wardrobes need painting?
Mostly not. What we fit is usually MFC, which arrives already finished in the colour you picked, so there is nothing to paint and nothing to re-coat later. If a job is built out of MDF and you want it painted, we bring a painter in.
Will the house be full of dust?
There is no such thing as no dust, but there is a lot of difference between a tidy job and a messy one. We sheet up, cut in one place where we can, and clear the room at the end of every day.
Do you work on flats in Cricklewood as well as houses?
Yes. Flats are often where a fitted wardrobe earns its keep the most, because the rooms are the most awkward and there is the least floor to spare.
