Fitted wardrobes and carpentry in Chalfont St Peter
Bespoke fitted wardrobes, fitted furniture and made-to-measure joinery in Chalfont St Peter and SL9.
The houses in Chalfont St Peter
Chalfont St Peter mixes period cottages in the village with large postwar and modern detached houses on the outskirts.
The bigger detached houses often have bedrooms with sloping sections, dormers or a odd-shaped landing cupboard. Those are the rooms where a bought wardrobe simply will not go in.
That is the point of building rather than buying. A wardrobe made for the room goes to the ceiling, into the alcove and up to the skirting, and the awkward bits of the house become storage instead of dead air.

Max at Barraclough Carpentry built a bespoke wardrobe for me, and I’m really pleased with the result. He was professional and easy to deal with throughout, and the team he brought along were excellent too. I’d happily recommend them.
Chalfont St Peter questions
Do you cover all of Chalfont St Peter?
Yes, the whole of SL9 and the streets around it. Travel is included in the price, so there is no mileage charge wherever in the area you are.
How much is a fitted wardrobe in Chalfont St Peter?
It depends on the run and how the inside is laid out, so the honest answer is that we need to see the room. The visit and the quote are both free, and the price comes by email afterwards so you have it in writing.
How long will you be in the house?
It depends on the size of the job. You will get the timescale with the price, and the room is cleared at the end of every day rather than left as a building site while the work is going on.
Can you build around a chimney breast in a Chalfont St Peter house?
That is the most common job there is. An alcove either side of a breast is exactly the shape nothing off a shelf will fit, and exactly the shape a built-in cupboard is for.
